Body of Car Crash Victim Found on Top of Freeway Sign (Watch)

deadly crash

*Highway Patrol officers had to recover the body of a 20-year-old man from a sign on the freeway that read, “Colorado St. 3/4 Mile.” The man had apparently collided with another car on the I-5 free out of Burbank, (a Los Angeles suburb), where it meets the 134 freeway, and was ejected from his car, and landed on the sign.

Below, you see his body covered in a sheet, at the top of where the ladder rests; waiting for the coroner to arrive and remove it.

Authorities admit they don’t even know how long it had been there.

The man’s identity was being withheld until his family was notified. But according to California Highway Patrol spokesman Officer Chad Guin, he is said to have been driving at high speeds in a compact Ford on the southbound 5 Freeway, when he collided with another car in the Griffith Park area about 7 a.m. local time Friday.
