*While serving as a judge on the British version of “The Voice,” Boy George casually mentioned that he slept with Prince – and all hell broke loose during the taping.
According to witnesses, the live audience reacted so wildly that filming had to be shut down temporarily until everyone calmed down.
According to The Sun, the Culture Club crooner, 54, was sitting with fellow judges Will.i.am, Ricky Wilson of the Kaiser Chiefs, and singer Paloma Faith. They were discussing other musicians with whom they’d collaborated.
George reportedly said, “I have duetted with some of the greatest soul singers in history, including Luther Vandross and Smokey Robinson.”
Paloma replied, “Well OK, if we’re throwing big soul names out there, I’ve performed with Prince.’
To which George supposedly said, “Forget that, darling, I’ve slept with Prince.”
A production source told The Sun the crew was stunned and the crowd went “absolutely wild.”
The other judges, especially Will.i.am, loved it and repeatedly high-fived George.
“Production staff had to come up on stage and speak to them,” the source reportedly said. “After that, Boy George started backtracking saying he hadn’t really slept with Prince and that in reality, he just had his poster on his wall.
“But as far as the crowd were concerned, the cat was already out of the bag.”
