*Looks like God was truly with a Compton-based rapper who survived being shot in the head with an AK-47.
The New York Daily News reports that the incident took place while Teriq Royal stood around at a gas station. Instead of doing the logical thing and go to a nearby hospital for immediate help, the blood-covered rhymer chose to brag about capturing his ordeal on a mobile phone video that he later uploaded to Facebook as he bragged about earning his stripes as a “real rapper.”
For Royal, his survival would not be possible if it wasn’t for the man upstairs.
“God let me walk away from an AK-47 dumping rounds at me and my bros,” Royal testified. “I just want y’all to know God is real and God loves you. [We’re] living in some dark days, we wasn’t even his targets, he was just trigger happy.”
Continuing his praise-filled video, Royal revealed that while he and his “homies” managed to avoid the close call, they emerged with a lifelong souvenir.
“Yes me and the homies got shot a couple days ago. AK47 bullet flew past my head and I was hit with the bullet fragments, 3 frags stuck in my forehead for life,” the rapper posted.
“I should’ve died that night but I felt God move me back just enough for the bullet to miss. Take this life s*** serious!
“I was almost on a T-shirt. I’m just blessed enough to be here for a reason, can’t nobody stop Gods (sic) plans.”
To bring his testimony home, the Daily News noted an X-Ray image Royal displayed that contained a bullet fragment he labeled as his “third eye for the rest of my life.”
All this while mentioning his plans to rap about his situation and stating that the fragments he got from the bullet are securely lodged in his skull and could’ve killed him if they had pierced his brain.
