Criss Angel, Magician, Cancels Vegas Shows to Go to Cancer-Stricken Son, Age 2 (Video)

*Criss Angel, one of the leading (and most fascinating!) magicians on the planet, has been performing his “CRISS ANGEL BeLIEve” magic show at The Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas for the past seven years.

This will be his first-ever cancellation.

Angel is flying to Australia to be with his son, Jonathan Crisstopher Sarantakos, who is nearly 2-years-old and was recently diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia earlier this week, according to Page Six.

Angel, who hotel staff said gave a press conference on Friday, has canceled all scheduled shows through November 1st.

An L. A. Times best -selling author, Angel thanked his fans on Twitter and posted a photo of him with little Jonathan (see below).

Angel, 47, has performed more than 3,000 scheduled shows in Vegas since he began in September 2008. He posted the following message to fans on his Facebook page on Friday.

“In light of a family emergency, the news I was going to announce this weekend will be postponed.”
