Danny Glover will join Gabrielle Union in the holiday feature “A Meyers Christmas,” while Ernie Hudson has been cast as a semi-regular on Epix original series “Graves,” a half-hour political satire produced by Lionsgate.

In Graves, Hudson will play Jacob Mann, an Olivia Pope-type fixer for the family of former U.S. President Richard Graves, 25 years after his presidency. The former Commander in Chief has the epiphany that his policies have damaged the country for decades and so, with his young assistant (Skylar Astin), he goes on a mission to right his administration’s wrongs just as his wife, the former First Lady, decides to follow her own political ambitions.

While having helped the Graves brood out of numerous sticky situations over the years, Jacob has become a member of the former First family – viewed as an Uncle by the children and relied upon by both the Former President and First Lady in almost every situation.

As previously reported, Gabrielle Union will star in and executive produce Universal’s “A Meyers Christmas,” which centers on an estranged family who is brought together over Christmas for the first time since their mother’s passing.

No word yet on who Glover will play in the film, which is slated to hit theaters on Nov. 11, 2016.

Four-time Emmy nominee Glover has more than 150 acting credits to his name and a number of projects in the pipeline, including “Diablo” with Scott Eastwood and Paramount’s “Monster Trucks.”
