*Sean “Diddy” Combs is expanding his TV portfolio to include scripted programming.

The rapper, record producer, actor and entrepreneur is teaming with ABC to develop a comedy based on the real-life events of his assistant, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“The Hustle,” which has received a script commitment, is about a small-town girl who lands a job working as an assistant to a street-educated billionaire business mogul where she is instantly thrown into a foreign world of extravagance, debauchery and adventure. It’s inspired by the real-life events of Diddy’s right-hand woman.

Jeremy Garelick (“The Wedding Ringer”) is set to pen the script alongside Stacey Harman (ABC’s “The Goldbergs”), with the former attached to direct should the comedy move to pilot. Garelick, Harman and Diddy will all exec produce.

Diddy’s Revolt Films exec Sarah Snedeker is set to serve as producer and consultant on the comedy.

While Diddy has produced and starred in the reality series “Making the Band” for MTV, the ABC comedy marks his first foray into scripted television.
