*Though “Empire” easily won Wednesday night, in both the key demo and total viewers, it dropped another half of a point among adults 18-49 for an average 4.6 rating, and an average of 12.2 million viewers, according to Nielsen.
However, “Empire” has seen its DVR and On Demand viewing rise with each same-day drop since the season 2 premiere, so it’s becoming apparent that it currently isn’t nabbing the appointment viewing status that it had during its freshman season.
“Empire’s” lead-in “Rosewood” also dipped. The Morris Chestnut vehicle lost four-tenths of a point in the key demo, for an average 1.4 rating.
