Michael Strahan guest stars as Dre’s cousin June Bug on tonight’s episode of “black-ish” (9:30/8:30c on ABC) titled “Jacked o’ Lantern,” which finds kids from all over the city – including Dre’s own nieces and nephews – coming to his house to trick-or-treat now that he lives in one of those “good candy neighborhoods.”

According to the official synopsis, the cousins are known for roughhousing and The Johnson kids aren’t happy when they come around, but Dre feels his kids could use some toughening.

Meanwhile, June Bug, who used to torment Dre as a kid, rattles the Johnson patriarch with his surprise visit. Check out a preview of the episode in the clip below.

EUR associate Ny Magee visited the set of the hit ABC comedy recently, where we chatted with stars Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross and Lawrence Fishburne about the success and misconceptions of the show, now in its second season.

We noted how just a few short years ago, networks may not have rushed to develop a show like “black-ish,” and we asked Anthony what he believes has changed in the industry that allows for such a series to have a platform now.

“I don’t know what’s different now, everything is cyclical, he said.” We may have had a harder time a few years ago to develop and create a show like “black-ish,” but we’re here today and we’re championing and moving forward.”

He continued:

“With the success of “black-ish” you have the success of “Fresh Off the Boat,” you have the success of “Cristela,” (and) the success of “Uncle Buck” and “Empire,” and “The Carmichael Show.” Hopefully, in speaking of the cyclical nature of this industry and how it works, hopefully this cycle lasts a little bit longer than the cycle before and so on.”

Check out the rest of our chat with the cast in the clip above.

“Black-ish” airs tonight and every Wednesday at 9:30/8:30c on ABC.
