*Well this is certainly not a good look.
In Sonoma County, California former drug kingpin, “Freeway” Ricky Ross has been arrested on suspicion of possessing money related to the sale of a controlled substance.
On Saturday, the Los Angeles Times reported that Ross was also arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a crime.
Ross was released from prison in 2009 after serving 16 ½ years in prison for conspiring to buy more than 100 kilograms of cocaine from a police informant. Ross infamously ruled the crack trade from his South Los Angeles base in the 1990s.
Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Darin Dougherty confirmed Ross was arrested, but wouldn’t release details about his arrest due to an ongoing investigation.
However, Sonoma County sheriff’s jail records show Ross is no longer in custody.
