*Kanye West announced at the VMAs last month that he plans to run for president in 2020, and while most of the nation may be hoping that he’s joking, (sadly, we fear he’s totally serious), Kim’s husband is getting a head start on mingling with the political elite. The rapper/designer will perform at a San Francisco Democratic National Committee fundraiser on October 10.
According to reports West will attend an “afternoon concert” held at the city’s Warfield theater, and “is expected to perform songs from his latest album, “SWISH.” President Obama is among the notable guests scheduled to attend, and Page Six reports “there will be restrictions.” Outspoken Kanye will not be allowed to overshadow the event by lecturing to “the president on how to run the country,” a source said.
“Kanye will be an exciting draw, especially compared to the Republicans booking Wayne Newton or Clint Eastwood. We all know how well that turned out,” said DNC member Robert Zimmerman.
Tickets for the event cost up to $1000, and you can purchase them here.
Kim has been open about her struggles with having their second child, as she suffers from a condition, placenta accreta, in which the placenta grows too deeply in the uterus, reports NY Daily News. Doctors generally recommend a planned C-section to avoid complications, but Kim’s doctors have given her hope that she should be able to have a natural birth. A C-section will be performed if medically necessary. After that, she’ll likely have a hysterectomy, which “is a little scary for me,” the reality TV star recently told C magazine.
Kanye and Kim have allegedly booked a Deluxe Maternity Suite at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, the same facility where their daughter, 2-year-old Nori, was born.
