*Missy Elliott is being sued for allegedly skipping out on a Brazilian TV appearance and two concerts, and now the promoter is asking a judge to order her to pay back the $75,000 fee she received up front.

Jean Faustin of the Maestro Global Media Group filed a lawsuit in the Manhattan Supreme Court claiming that the five-time Grammy winner received a $75,000 deposit in the fall of 2012 to perform in Rio and Porto Alegre that November. According to the suit, as part of the agreement, Elliott was supposed to promote the performances on Brazilian TV, but she was a no-show, and the lack of media presence led to disappointing ticket sales. Faustin had to ultimately cancel the concerts and Missy refused to return the deposit, Page Six reports.

Elliott has yet to comment on the lawsuit.

Meanwhile, TMZ captured footage of the “Lose Control” rapper shooting a new music video on Oct. 6 in Los Angeles. According to the celebrity news site, the track is titled “WTF,” and it was produced by Pharrell.  No word yet on when the video will drop, but we can probably expect it before the release of Eddie Murphy’s next film, which may have its debut on Netflix.

Brian Grazer, co-chairman of Imagine Entertainment, is producing Murphy’s next project and he revealed the possible partnership with the streaming service during an interview with Bloomberg.

“I would take a movie to Netflix. In fact, I’m going to do a movie with Netflix,” he said. “I’m going to do a tour-de-force movie that’s cinéma vérité with Eddie Murphy being as raw as he can be.”

“The way they govern their creativity is exceptional,” Grazer said about the company. “They believe that if they like the idea and the foundational elements, you’re just off to do what you believe in, and they trust it. And it’s been working for them.”

Grazer stated that the news was “premature” and Netflix has yet to comment – stay tuned.
