Nicki Minaj Ends Interview After ‘Rude’ Questions About Drake, Meek Mill

Nicki Minaj

*Nicki Minaj will call Miley Cyrus a ‘B*tch’ in front of millions of TV viewers, she’ll pen a track that has a verse which refers to black women as “nappy headed-hoes” and “monkeys” (“Did It On ‘Em”),  and she’ll even sign-off on being immortalized in a promiscuous position that allows her fans to molest her, but when it comes to asking if she enjoys the attention she receives from the drama associated with the men in her camp, well – that’s down right disrespectful!

Minaj is making headlines after walking out during an interview with New York Times Magazine. In the interview, the rap star opens up about everything from Miley Cyrus to Meek Mill. However, when the interviewer (Vanessa Grigoriadis) asks about the Meek vs Drake beef, and the Lil Wayne and Birdman lawsuit, things turn ugly, as thejasminebrand reports.

“They’re men, grown-ass men. It’s between them,” Minaj says.

And when asked how it makes her feel to see the men in her life at odds, Nicki said:

“I hate it. It doesn’t make me feel good. You don’t ever want to choose sides between people you love. It’s ridiculous. I just want it to be over.”

The question that sends Minaj over the edge is when the interviewer asked, “Is there a part of you that thrives on drama, or is it no, just pain and unpleasantness—”

Addressing this comment, Minaj snapped:

“That’s disrespectful. Why would a grown-ass woman thrive off drama? What do the four men you just named have to do with me thriving off drama? Why would you even say that? That’s so peculiar. Four grown-ass men are having issues between themselves, and you’re asking me do I thrive off drama?”

She added:

“That’s the typical thing that women do. What did you putting me down right there do for you? Women blame women for things that have nothing to do with them. I really want to know why — as a matter of fact, I don’t. Can we move on, do you have anything else to ask? To put down a woman for something that men do, as if they’re children and I’m responsible, has nothing to do with you asking stupid questions, because you know that’s not just a stupid question. That’s a premeditated thing you just did.”

The interviewer says that Minaj called her ‘‘rude’’ and ‘‘a troublemaker,’’ and said ‘‘Do not speak to me like I’m stupid or beneath you in any way’’ before ending the Q&A with, ‘‘I don’t care to speak to you anymore.’’

You can read the interview in its entirety here. While Minaj has yet to comment in the incident, Vanessa has said there wasn’t any malice behind her questions, and that Nick had every right to call her out.
