*Nike is opening a new store in Chicago’s Loop this weekend with only its Michael Jordan items for sale…and a line has already formed outside.
“If you’re not in line, you are not going to get the most wanted shoes,” said Aziz Baker, who got in line Thursday morning for Saturday’s grand opening, and is no where near the front, reports Fox 32. “You gotta do what you gotta do!”
The Chicago store will feature products in all four of the Jordan Brand categories: basketball, training, sportswear, and kids. In the coming years, the brand also intends to unveil a women’s shoe line, the Chicago Tribune reported.
Nike intends to replicate the all-MJ store in New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto. Nike already has one Jordan Brand store in New York, Flight 23, which was the first of the company’s planned expansion.
The men at the front of the line in Chicago have been there since Tuesday. They didn’t want to talk to FOX 32 on camera, but said the wait is worth the money they can make reselling gear that they will buy inside.
