*Us Weekly has exclusively confirmed that Raven-Symone has split from her girlfriend, AzMarie Livingston, and we can’t say we’re shocked by the news.
“The View” co-host and model/actress began dating in 2012, and while Raven has been open about her preference for women, she has remained relatively quiet about life with her former lover.
During her 2014 coming out interview with Oprah, she confessed that she was “in an amazing, happy relationship with my partner. A woman,” and back in July, Raven gave fans a glimpse inside their relationship when she told PEOPLE that she can’t binge watch her favorite TV shows unless AzMarie is present.
“I refuse to binge-watch shows with anyone unless it’s my partner because I need to watch it when I need to watch it,” Raven said. “Right now, I can’t watch the rest of Suits because I gotta wait for her. I’m like, ‘I want to watch it now!’ ”
Raven also told Oprah Winfrey that she doesn’t want to be defined by her sexuality.
“I want to be labeled a human who loves humans. I’m tired of being labeled,” the former child star said on Where Are They Now? in October 2014. “I’m in an amazing, happy relationship with my partner, a woman.”
She added: “On the other side, my mother and people in my family, they’ve taught me to keep my personal life to myself as much as possible, but I am proud to be who I am and what I am.”
Raven and AzMarie, who was a contestant on “America’s Next Top Model: British Invasion” in 2012, have guest-starred as Olivia Lyon and Chicken, respectively, on the hit FOX drama “Empire.” Raven told E! Online that she was proud of her partner for landing a role on a show that “people are going ape crazy for.”
“My partner is in a show that people are going ape crazy for,” Symoné gushed. “I’m proud of her.”
Raven has yet to address the breakup, and considering how private is she, no doubt she’ll say something crass again before she speaks publicly about calling it quits with AzMarie.
Meanwhile, we’re still laughing that conservative commentator Ann Coulter stunned the outspoken former child star into silence on “The View’ last Friday by bringing up her recent comment about “ghetto” names during a discussion about immigration.
