*The studio behind Steve Harvey’s nationally syndicated daytime talk show is expanding its relationship with the comedian/author. Harvey has signed an overall production deal with Endemol Shine for his East 112th Street Prods. – named after the Cleveland street he grew up on.
The studio deal is the first for the year-old production company. “Family Feud” and “Steve Harvey Show” exec producer Gerald Washington will serve as president and Donna-Marie Reid has been hired as the director of development. The company will be based at Endemol Shine’s Los Angeles office and will develop unscripted, scripted and digital programming, Deadline reports.
“We are thrilled to be extending our relationship with Steve Harvey, arguably the hottest personality in TV right now,” says Endemol Shine North America’s co-chairmen and co-CEOs Chris Abrego and Charlie Corwin.
Added Harvey, “Cris, Charlie and the team at Endemol Shine offer us the opportunity to expand our vision for East 112th Street globally, and we’re already exploring a number of potential projects together that I can’t wait to see get off the ground.”
As Shadow and Act notes, Endemol Shine Group’s companies in North America are behind hit series including “Big Brother” (CBS), “The Biggest Loser” (NBC), “Hell on Wheels” (AMC), “Ink Master” (Spike), “MasterChef” (FOX), “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” (Bravo), “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle” (VH1), “Wipeout” (ABC) and many more.
In addition to his TV hosting duties, Harvey is also the host of the #1 rated nationally syndicated morning radio show, “Steve Harvey Morning Show,” which attracts approximately 7 million listeners each week. He is set to collaborate with Ellen DeGeneres as host and executive producer of “Little Big Shots,” airing on NBC in 2016.
