*Khloe Kardashian may be standing by her estranged husband Lamar Odom nowadays, but according to the reality TV star, their marriage was a challenge to maintain.
According to Page Six, Kardashian’s upcoming self-help book , “Strong Looks Better Naked,” won’t do Odom any favors as it paint’s a troubled picture of him. The book, which is set for a Nov. 3 release from Regan Arts. focuses on how Kardashian mended her broken heart from the collapse of her marriage by working out and losing weight
Sources for the news outlet who have read the book say that Odom’s three-day stay at a brothel justifies Kardashian’s decision two years ago to divorce the former NBA star when she couldn’t stop his drinking and drugging.
Page Six notes that at this time, the divorce is still not final.
“The thing is, you can’t control other people, and you can’t control the outcome of situations,” Kardashian writes in the book, “and if you think you can, you will soon discover that you are sadly mistaken.”
Kardashian’s then-2-year marriage to Odom ultimately took a downward turn when he was traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Dallas Mavericks in 2011. As a result, the couple lived in an apartment at the W Hotel in downtown Dallas.
Coupled with the constant presence of paparazzi asking “Is it true Lamar cheated on you?” and “Is he doing drugs?” whenever she went outside and things would take its toll on Kardashian.
“Every day felt like an attack,” Kardashian writes. “It was also humiliating; it got to the point that leaving my house would give me social anxiety.”
Kardashian’s assessment of her relationship with Odom in her book, comes as she flew to a hospital in Last Vegas last week to be with the athlete, who was in a coma after overdosing at a brothel. On Monday, she flew back to LA with Odom, which is where he’ll be doing his rehab.
Efforts to withdraw Kardashian’s divorce petition were made in a request to a judge by her lawyer, Laura Wasser on Wednesday (Oct. 21).
Despite not taking it easy on Odom in her book, sources reveal that Kardashian ends the tome on a positive note.
“Before I met you I felt invisible, and after I felt seen,” Kardashian says while thanking Odom for some of the best years of her life.
