Coco Responds to ‘Bellygate’ Critics in New Pregnancy Blog

Coco, Ice T*EUR chatted with Ice T & Coco shortly after they announced she was expecting their first child together, a girl named Chanel, and during our chat, Coco gushed about her not-so bulging bump, which many criticized for being too small.

Now the talk-show host and reality star is documenting her journey to motherhood – and responding to those bellygate critics – in several blog posts exclusively for E! News.

“In response to the critics of my small baby bump, the thing I constantly ask my doctor, ‘Am I healthy? What is going on? Have you seen this before?’ My doctor says yes,” the mom-to-be posted on her pregnancy blog, acknowledging that she too feels like she’s missing out on the fullness of being pregnant.

“I almost feel like I kind of got gypped a little because women start seeing something of a baby bump at four to five months. I didn’t see anything until eight months. I was kinda feeling gypped in a way because when you’re pregnant, you want a bump.”

When we chatted with the fitness fanatic, she admitted that being with child wasn’t going to slow down her fitness regime, or cause her to pig out on fattening foods, but she notes in her blog that while she’s in great shape, she also wants to “feel pregnant.”

“I know I’m in great shape, but I want to feel pregnant also. Finally, something is out! She’s finally showing herself and I’m loving every moment. I’m actually telling people that no doubt, I could be pregnant for the rest of my life.”

She continued:

“I’ve been a model for my entire life and so concerned about fitness and all that good stuff but I could care less about my body, honestly. I could care less about my waist and the way I look. I just happen to be so healthy where pregnancy is really working well with my body. I love being pregnant through everything. Through feeling her inside me to going through the adjustments, I love every minute of it.”
