*Studio City, CA: Last week a host of industry taste makers convened at The XEN Lounge in honor of Dr. Logan H. Westbrooks‘ new book “The Anatomy of the Music Industry.”
Incidentally it was the perfect occasion to note that two of the expert contributors to the book are also in the running for Grammy Awards. Jay King was on hand and he proudly informed EURweb that Club Nouveau is nominated For Best R&B Performance (#040) for their single “That Ain’t Love” and they are also nominated for Best R&B Album (#022) for their album titled “Consciousness,” on which EURweb’s own Lee Bailey appears.

Another added treasure to the Westbrooks’ book launch for “The Anatomy of the Music Industry” is industry vet Stephanie Spruill, who is also up for consideration for the 58th Grammy Awards.
Stephanie has recorded over 100 gold and platinum albums, and her voice is heard on over 1500 recordings.
Stephanie’s “It’s A Jazz Day” features Brenda Russell and Patrice Rushen, among many others. The impressive performance is up for Best Jazz Vocal album. In order for these great projects to make the final ballot, preliminary voters must cast a vote for them before the deadline for the next round of voting.
