*Lamar Odom’s weekend at the Love Ranch brothel in Crystal, Nevada could come back to bite him in a major way as prosecutors there are considering filing felony drug charges against him.
Speaking with the Associated Press on Monday, Nye County District Attorney Angela Bello revealed that the potential charge was submitted by the sheriff’s office last week. In addition, Bello mentioned that a prosecutor is considering filing a count of unlawful use of cocaine or being under the influence of a controlled substance.
News of the prosecutor’s consideration is the latest development since Odom was hospitalized in critical condition after he was recently found unconscious at the Love Ranch. The AP notes that authorities investigating a possible cocaine overdose by Odom got a warrant on Oct. 13 to take a blood sample while the former NBA star was in the hospital.
As far as specifics on the investigation by her office, which is expected to last weeks, Bello was mum. Odom is currently in a Los Angeles hospital recovering from what happened to him, according to a family representative.
