kobe (dear basketball)

*It looks like reality A/K/A Father Time has finally got the attention of Kobe Bryant.

Actually, if you know and follow Bryant, you know he’s well aware of his age issues, but because he’s a warrior, he won’t stop fighting the obvious: Father Time ALWAYS win. Period.

In any event, on Sunday (11-29-15), Kobe told the world he’s retiring at the end of this NBA season via a retirement poem titled “Dear Basketball” on Derek Jeter’s PlayersTribune.com

Bryant, 37, is in the final season of a two-year extension he signed with the Lakers in 2013. He’s averaging 15.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. He’s also shooting a career-worst 31.5 percent from the field and 19.5 percent from three-point range.

This is Bryant’s 20th season with the Lakers.

I ran up and down every court
After every loose ball for you.
You asked for my hustle
I gave you my heart
