Mariah Carey to Voice Character in ‘The Lego Batman Movie’

*Mariah Carey has booked a gig in Gotham.

The singer will voice the city’s mayor in Warner Bros’ film “The Lego Batman Movie,” the spinoff of “The Lego Movie,” sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.

The movie has already cast the roles of Alfred (Ralph Fiennes), Batgirl (Rosario Dawson), Robin (Michael Cera) and Joker (Zach Galifianakis). Will Arnett, who voiced the Dark Knight in 2014’s “The Lego Movie,” will return to voice Batman.

This will be Mariah’s first big screen gig since “Lee Daniels’ The Butler” in 2013. Prior to that, she acted in his film “Precious” as the social worker Ms. Weiss.
