*“Laziness is a trait in blacks.” And “Black guys counting my money! I hate it” These are two of GOP presidential contender Donald Trump’s choice racist tweets that grabbed headlines and drew much fire.  But political analyst Earl Ofari Hutchinson in his new Ebook, Trump and the GOP: Race Baiting to the White House takes an in-depth look at how Trump and the GOP has cynically and calculatedly used covert and naked race baiting to win and maintain control in state and national offices, and that most importantly includes the White House, during the past six decades.

Hutchinson notes that choice and well-timed Trump quips such as, “I want him to show his birth certificate” (President Obama’s birth certificate). And “”Our great African American President hasn’t exactly had a positive impact on the thugs who are so happily and openly destroying Baltimore!” were masterfully designed to rocket launch him to the top of the GOP pack of presidential contenders and maintain him in the top spot.

In Trump and the GOP:Race Baiting to the White House, Hutchinson details how Trump swims in the mainstream of the GOP’s more than six decade long sordid history of well-calibrated, covert and overt race-baiting. “Trump’s embarrassing and crude race baiting is simply a logical extension of what the GOP presidential candidates had turned into a fine art with stylistic variances and tweaks,” says Hutchinson, “This enabled Presidents Nixon, Reagan, Bush Sr., and George W. Bush to capture the White House, and legions of GOP state and local officials to win election.”

Hutchinson tells how Trump’s race baiting ploys date back more than four decades to lawsuits against him for racial bias in his housing units to his whipping up racial hysteria on the Central Park Five rape case. In every case, Trump’s name and political stock continued to rise both within and without the GOP. Hutchinson contends that this is where Trump fit into the GOP’s under-the-table political calculus. “He surged to the top spot in popularity polls in the first months of 2015, drew big excitable crowds wherever he went, and gobbled up tons of media looks and attention. The GOP gamble was that some of that racial vitriol might translate into a flock to the polls of the aroused, but disconnected, GOP lapsed faithful in 2016.”

Trump and the GOP:Race Baiting to the White House tells how crude, naked, and unabashed race baiting by Trump and the GOP has stirred millions, and has shaken and shaped presidential politics. Hutchinson shows and warns how this presents a clear, present and grave danger to the 2016 White House race.
