*Grammy Award winner R. Kelly is set to release his highly anticipated 13th solo studio album “The Buffet” on December 11, and the album includes his hit summer jam “Backyard Party,” as well as his latest single “Switch Up” featuring Lil Wayne and Jeremih.
“The Buffet” will be available for pre-order on November 13 via iTunes, Amazon, Google Play. Fans who pre-purchase the album will receive instant downloads of “Backyard Party,” “Switch Up,” “Wake Up Everybody” and “Marching Band.”
To ready the album for release, the multi-platinum selling singer recorded more than 470 songs for over the course of the last 2 years, creating a musical smorgasbord with sounds ranging from R&B to pop to blues, and even country. In addition to Lil Wayne and Jeremih, the album boast features from Juicy J, Ty Dolla $ign, Tinashe and Jhené Aiko.
“I have fans from numerous generations listening to my music now and I wanted to provide everyone with something they could enjoy” explains R. Kelly “With The Buffet, I wanted to showcase a variety of my musical sounds and include all the genres I love on one project.”
R. Kelly is currently on a sold out arena tour around the US to support the album, racking up stellar reviews along the way, including The Dallas Observer who proclaimed, “The Chi-Town legend arguably hasn’t missed a beat” and the SF Weekly noted “Dude’s been making bedroom-speaker music for 30 years and his voice is still silky smooth.”
