The Man in 3B*Lamman Rucker and iconic actor Billy Dee Williams star in “The Man in 3B,” the first film from 18-time New York Times bestselling author Carl Weber, in theaters Friday, November 6.

Directed by Trey Haley, the murder mystery also stars Christian Keyes, Jackée Harry, Kellita Smith and Brely Evans.

Weber and ND Brown serve as producers on the project, which will have you on the edge of your seat – clutching your pearls with eyes wide and your head shaking in disbelief.

Carl Weber is one of a handful of African American authors who consistently appear on the New York Times bestseller list year after year. If you haven’t read the book “The Man in 3B,” here’s a brief summary of the plot:

Daryl Graham (Rucker) is the smokin’ hottie recently moved into a Jamaica, Queens, apartment building, and his neighbors, both male and female alike, can’t stop talking about him. Connie (Evans), is his unhappily married neighbor who turns to Daryl for help losing weight, hoping to fix her marriage. It’s not long before they catch feelings for one another and Connie begins to question if her marriage is worth saving. Connie’s husband doesn’t care about anything but money until he notices how much time his wife is spending with their new neighbor. Everything seems to be going well, until someone is murdered, and everyone becomes a prime suspect…leading up to a dynamic twisty ending.

This past September, the 19th Annual Urbanworld Film Festival in New York selected “The Man in 3B” as a spotlight festival feature and hosted a red carpet premiere of the film. “The Man in 3B” was also honored earlier this year by the Pan-African Film and Arts Festival in Los Angeles with the“Capri Partners Award.”
