*The party has moved to Mary J. Blige’s kitchen in the new Apple Music ad featuring the singer with homegirls Taraji P. Henson and Kerry Washington.
“Selma” director Ava DuVernay is back behind the camera for part 2 of a planned three-part promo campaign. This one has the ladies chatting away as Blige cuts veggies for an upcoming meal.
The trio starts reminiscing about their hometowns. Washington sets out to create a special playlist for the occasion (a “recipe-makin,’ night-with-the-girls” playlist, to be exact), and they soon find themselves dancing salsa to Marc Anthony.
Eventually, Taraji asks Siri to name her favorite song. Let’s just say her answer rubbed Taraji the wrong way.
