Fox Television Stations and Telepictures Productions have teamed with TMZ Studios for “South of Wilshire,” where contestants are given clues to guess the identity of various celebrities associated with the area.

The half-hour strip will launch an eight-week test run Jan. 4 on a handful of Fox-owned/operated stations, including stations in New York and Los Angeles, reports Variety.

“Interesting and different, within a sustainable economic model. That’s what we’re after, and that’s what we think ‘South Of Wilshire’ delivers,” Fox TV Stations senior VP Frank Cicha said in announcing the test.

TMZ Studios’ Harvey Levin and Ryan Regan are exec producers of “South of Wilshire.” Fox TV Stations are home to the nightly “TMZ” and “TMZ Live” series from Warner Bros. Domestic TV Distribution. Fox and WB have a broader partnership covering test runs of a range of first-run syndicated series.

“We are thrilled to continue the successful partnership that Fox and Warner Bros. share with Harvey Levin,” said Ken Werner, president of Warner Bros. Domestic TV Distribution. “Together, we have produced distinctive and successful franchise programming and there is no doubt that ‘South of Wilshire’ will be the latest hit series.”
