Banks, Teigen*When Tyra Banks announced her departure from “FABLife last Friday – fans demanded answers, and when answers didn’t arrive swift enough, speculation quickly spread that Ms. Banks quit the show after non-stop feuding with co-host Chrissy Teigen. However, Chrissy and Tyra are now setting it straight, dismissing those rumors and attributing TyTy’s untimely departure on creative differences with the higher-ups.

In a recent interview with USA TODAY, Tyra explained that she has decided to give her full attention to her makeup collection, Tyra Beauty. She added that FABLife “competed for my time in a way that you cannot run a business and do a daytime talk show. And I thought I could. And I can’t.”

FABLife bosses – the ones more important to the network than Tyra – allegedly refused to promote Tyra Beauty on the show, a deal rumored to have been negotiated before tape on the show rolled. However, shortly into production, network bosses refused to allow Tyra appropriate airtime to promote her beauty brand, so – tensions flared, harsh words were exchange and perhaps some ultimatums were given until eventually, Tyra walked.

Chrissy took to Twitter to shut down the speculations, reminding the trolls and fans alike that what power Tyra did have, she most certainly could’ve used to fire Teigen, if there was drama between the two.

“I dunno if you guys know how bosses work but if Tyra and I were fighting as hard as you’re saying, I would be the one off the show,” she tweeted on Monday.

Tyra, via her rep, sent the following statement after news broke of her exit:

“I will be devoting more time to my new, growing cosmetics company, Tyra Beauty, which is expanding faster than anticipated, as well as overseeing my company’s other entertainment ventures. I will however continue to support the growth and success of ‘FABLife’ and greatly admire my fellow co-hosts and the talented production team behind the show.”

As Huff Post notes, if there was tension between the two ladies, they certainly have mastered the art of masking and remaining professional, as they did when they shared this emotional “FABLife” moment while talking about the struggle to conceive and the decision whether to have children.
