*The man Busta Rhymes is accused of assaulting with a protein shake at a NYC gym is speaking out for the first time.
Rhymes was arrested back in August for allegedly hitting an employee at a Chelsea gym with a thrown cardboard drink container, police said. The rapper was charged with assault after the 17-ounce strawberry protein drink struck the employee in the back of the head at Steel Gym on West 23rd Street.
The dispute started when a cameraman for Busta was denied permission to film inside of the gym.
That employee, 33-year-old Olegario Hernandez, is now talking to the New York Post’s Page Six. He said that Busta, whose real name is Trevor Smith, got heated over the perceived slight and came to the gym in a combative state.
“You don’t know who I am! I’m Busta Rhymes!” the rapper yelled, according to Hernandez. “I’m the real n–ga! You’re a f–king f–got, you are a p–sy! You are a Mexican crossing the border to come to this country, I will f–k you up.”
Gym surveillance video doesn’t capture audio, but Rhymes can be seen reaching across the counter and getting in Hernandez’s face until his security guard moves him away.

Busta returned to the gym the next day. Hernandez, under orders from his boss Ken Hunt, told the rapper he had to talk to the owner if he wanted to enter — sparking the tantrum.
In the gym’s surveillance video, Rhymes is seen splashing water on Hernandez, who returns with a water toss of his own. Rhymes then throws a Lean Body chocolate protein shake, which hits Hernandez in the head and splatters all over the glass display case and floor.

Off camera, one of Rhymes’ security guards went behind the counter and allegedly shoved Hernandez into an office door, breaking it, claims Hernandez, who says he went to the hospital, where he was treated for swelling and scratches to his head.
Rhymes was arrested for felony assault and cut a deal with prosecutors, pleading guilty to a violation charge of harassment and agreeing to take anger-management classes.
