Yes, you could say he crowned the wrong holiday … but it was on purpose. It’s his way of poking fun at himself.
In the wake of crowning the wrong winner during last Sunday’s Miss Universe pageant, the TV personality joked about the blunder while wishing his fans a Merry Christmas on Twitter.
Actually, he wished them a “Merry Easter.”
According to Time, the post netted more than a million likes in just three hours, drawing thousands of comments from amused fans. One read, “Finally a celeb figures out how to win the Internet! Merry Easter to you too Steve! ;)”
