*Rapper Bobby Shmurda remains behind bars today after his sixth attempt to be released on $2 million bail was denied.

Shmurda and 14 others were arrested Dec. 17, 2014 and indicted on a number of drug, weapons and conspiracy charges.

Earlier this week, reports surfaced that the Brooklyn rapper had scraped together a new bail package, with his aunt Janelle DeFreitas offering four real estate properties in the New York area as collateral while family members worked closely with bondsman Ira Judelson.

At the Dec. 3 surety hearing in Manhattan Supreme Court, however, Judge James Burke rejected the bail package in a sealed proceeding, putting the case back on its previous schedule with Shmurda’s next court date set for Jan. 11, according to Billboard.

With family members present in the courtroom, Shmurda — whose 2014 hit “Hot Boy” peaked at No. 6 on the Hot 100 and landed him a record deal with Epic Records — entered wearing a black sweatsuit for his first public appearance since Oct. 5.

Shmurda rejected a recommended sentence of eight years put forth by the prosecution in June.

“When I see the judge and the DA, I just see a bunch of people [who are] trying to take my life away for being blessed,” he told Billboard back in February. “That’s what I look at when I look at them. It looks like a bunch of haters.”
