Even Trump Disagrees with Scalia’s Comments on Black Students

Supreme-Court-Justice-Antonin-Scalia*Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonin Scalia’s view of the educational path of black students is not getting a thumbs up from Donald Trump.

Scalia drew headlines when he stated that black students might benefit from attending a “slower-track school” during oral arguments in an affirmative action case last week. According to reports, Scalia stated that “most of the black scientists in this country don’t come from schools like the University of Texas.”

During an interview with Jake Tapper on CNN, the GOP presidential hopeful voiced weighed in on the situation, saying he was “very surprised at Scalia’s statements.”

“I thought it was very tough to the African-American community,” Trump said Sunday. “I don’t like what he said.”

In addition reemphasizing his claim of having a great relationship with the black community, Trump took another moment to criticize President Barack Obama.
