Lil Wayne’s Lawyers Sue Him; Lester Holt to Moderate Dem Debate

Lil-Wayne*Isn’t this ironic?

Lil Wayne is being taken to task by his own lawyers. The lawyers are suing the Young Money rap star under claims Lil Wayne is screwing them out of a hefty bit of cash.

If the claims sound familiar, consider the fact that this is the same thing Lil Wayne is claiming Birdman is doing to him. As a result, Wayne hired a law firm to handle his legal fight against Cash Money Records and Birdman over millions in unpaid fees owed, according to TMZ.

Regarding the new lawsuit, the lawyers stated that although they sent bills to Lil Wayne for nearly a year, the rapper ignored them. As a result, the lawyers say Lil Wayne owes them $375,000.

Lester-HoltWhile Lil Wayne deals with internal strife on his legal team, Lester Holt prepares for the first Democratic debate of the New Year.

The Wrap, citing an announcement made by NBC on Wednesday (Dec. 16), reports the “NBC Nightly News” anchor will moderate the NBC News-YouTube Democratic Candidates Debate, which will air live from 9-11 p.m. ET. Jan. 17 at the Gaillard Center in Charleston, South Carolina.

Hosted by the Congressional Black Caucus Institute, the event will include “other NBC News political reporters and analysts,” who will join Holt, NBC mentioned.

In addition to NBC, the debate will be broadcast online via a live stream across all NBC News digital platforms, NBC-owned station and affiliate websites and the NBC News YouTube channel.

The new Democratic debate will follow the last meeting of those campaigning for the party’s presidential nomination, which took place Saturday (Dec. 19) in New Hampshire and aired on ABC.
