Master P Talks Lucious Lyon Similarities, ‘Empire’ Lifestyle

master-howard*On Tuesday, Percy “Master P” Miller was a guest on FOX 5’s “Good Day New York,” where he commented on speculation that he inspired Lucious Lyon, the character Terrance Howard plays on FOX’s hit “Empire.”

“I actually live this Empire life. I live the real life Empire. The difference is, with our family it’s not about money. You can’t take nothing but your character with you. It’s about helping my kids, educating them, we have a strong faith in the love. I think that no matter what you go through, we’re not a perfect family, but at the same time, I mean, yeah, I go through a lot of those things so people say ‘Okay, Lucious Lyon -Master P they really mix it up.’”

Miller added, “Yeah, everybody got a Cookie [Lyon].”

MASTER PPercy premiered his new reality series “Family Empire,” on Reelz in November, and the show has become a hit for the cable network. It’s currently the network’s #1 original series in both total viewers and the 18-49 age demographic.

“It’s a blessing to see people excited over our show,” Master P tells AllHipHop.com.

The series follows the No Limit Records founder/single father as he pursues his goal of creating generational wealth with his children, Romeo (26), Veno (22), Cymphonique (18), Hercy (13), and Mercy (10).

Master P’s “Family Empire” airs Saturdays at 8 PM on Reelz.

In related news, Miller and his children, including Romeo, recently appeared on “The Real” to discuss his ongoing legal battle with ex-wife, Sonya Miller.

“I just want my Mom to find happiness,” Romeo said when asked what he believes would be the ideal outcome of his parents legal woes.

“I want my kids to be able to do what they love to do,” Master P later said in response to the same question. “What I told the judge when I was there I was like, ‘Sometimes you gotta look at right and wrong and that’s it.’ I feel like as a person on the outside looking in — I asked the judge I said, ‘Drug test both of us, and then you’ll find all the answers.’ Which their attorney didn’t agree with. So I’ma put it in God’s hands.”
