*NeNe Leakes’ recent appearance on “The View” looks to be anything but a pleasant experience as she has plenty of criticism to go around about the show and its panel of co-hosts.
According to E! News, Leakes was not shy about detailing the treatment she received on the ABC daytime TV staple during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” on Sunday (Dec. 6).
“Oh, yes, honey. Let’s read ‘The View.’ What do you need to know? Tell me all about it,” Leakes told host Andy Cohen. “Well, I didn’t see any of those ladies that’s on the panel until I actually walked on the panel. And I felt like they were not kind to me. I just…honestly, they weren’t kind. It’s not even ‘felt like.’”
“Was it a Joy thing?” Cohen asked, alluding to “The View” co-host Joy Behar. “Was it more than Joy?”
In Leakes’ eyes, Behar was only part of the problem she had with her time on “The View.”
“It was more than Joy,” she said. “Now, Joy was definitely throwing a lot of shade, but there was someone else on the panel that threw shade as well, as far as looking me up and down. Now, we were live, so as far as what the cameras shot or showed, I don’t know. It didn’t show everything. But I could tell you that there were a couple of people on that panel who were very shady. Now, they welcomed me to their home—”
From there, Behar’s fellow co-host, Raven-Symoné’s was brought into the conversation as Cohen clarified what he said with saying, “You’re talking about Raven-Symoné.”
“Probably,” Leakes responded as she called out the former “Cosby Show” star for looking her up and down “real nasty-like.”
Overall, Leakes cited the entire crew at “The View” for being less than friendly towards her.
“I didn’t like that, because look, first of all, I was invited to their show,” she said. “I was there to promote Chicago and other things. They asked me to bring pictures of my home there, and I brought the pictures they asked me to bring. And they just weren’t kind. They did not have nice manners. I know all of them are tired: their hairstyles are tired, their makeup is tired. Whatever.”
