Minaj has created an affordable line for the ladies who seek the finer things, and the options are sexy and most importantly: don’t look cheap.
She released several photos sporting some of her favorite pieces, and you can take a peek at some featured items from the collection here.
As Madame Noir notes, Minaj set out two years ago to “bring affordable fashion” to the everyday woman. She launched her partnership with Kmart and its affiliate website, ShopYourWay.com, and his since decided to expand the brand by launching a limited edition Couture Collection.
“The Couture Collection features elegant fabrics, supple leathers and sexy laces sourced from Europe and beyond,” a press release explains. “These exquisite pieces are all limited edition, so act fast to bring a stylish slice of the runway into your closet today.”
The Nicki Minaj Couture Collection is now available on her website nickiminajcollection.com – and at Kmart. Most of the collection is offered in black – with a hint of color – and includes fitted pants, body-hugging pencil skirts, cropped tops and ultrasuede dresses, clingy dresses, leather jackets, and neoprene bodysuits.
Nicki recently lent her voice to the nation’s ongoing race awareness campaigns, by reciting Maya Angelou’s powerful poem “Still I Rise” at the A+E Networks and iHeartMedia’s “Shining a Light: A Concert for Progress on Race in America.”
In related news, Nicki Minaj joins Ice Cube, Cedric the Entertainment and the rest of the co. in “Barbershop: The Next Cut.” The film finds Cube’s character concerned about his young son growing up in a Chicago suburb where the presence of gang violence is increasing daily, and encroaching on his business. The film is slated for a April 2016 release.
