“Steve Harvey Show’s” Season of Surprises hosted a surprise reunion of TV’s favorite neighborhood family, “227.” Marla Gibbs (Mary Jenkins), Jackee Harry (Sandra Clark), Hal Williams (Lester Jenkins), and Curtis Baldwin (Calvin Dobbs) reunited in front of 300 guests, at a Neighborhood Block Party on the Universal Studios Back Lot.

Steve Harvey was unable to attend the event, but he shared a heartfelt video message with the audience in his absence.

“Welcome to Steve Harvey’s neighborhood black party!” Beamed the TV host “This year we are having a season of surprises on my daytime show. And you know we couldn’t forget the great people of Los Angeles. We like to do things big so we have a fantastic night planned for you and your family. On behalf of Steve Harvey and NBC enjoy!”

In true block party fashion, guests enjoyed some of LA’s notable food trucks, featuring down home dishes inspired by internet sensation and the “Steve Harvey Show’s” own, Auntie Fee. Attendees also competed in fun trivia games for prizes and jammed to classic block party hits.

Reporter Nina Parker of NBC’s “Access Hollywood” conducted a special interview segment with the cast. Also on the scene was Comedienne Torrei Hart, actresses Bresha Webb and Adina Porter, model Karrueche Tran, and Laura Govan. The “Steve Harvey Show” airs weekdays on NBC.

Jackée currently stars on Byron Allen’s syndicated sitcom “The First Family.” She’s recently appeared on “Baby Daddy,” “Girl Meets World,” “Young & Hungry,” and can be seen on “2 Broke Girls” next year. Gibbs was recently appeared on “Scandal,” “American Horror Story: Hotel,” and “Hot in Cleveland.” Veteran actor, Williams, has played over 60 roles on the big screen and small screen. He was on a recent episode of “Parks and Recreation.”
