*Extra caught up with “Empire” star Terrence Howard and his on-screen wife, Taraji P. Henson, as they were gearing up for their Christmas special, “Taraji and Terrence’s White Hot Holidays,” which aired this past Wednesday. Howard shared with “Extra’s” Renee Bargh his plans for the holiday with real life wife Mira, “Hopefully trying to make another baby,” he said.
Howard and his real life estranged wife, Miranda Pak, welcomed their first son, Qirin Love, in June, and Terrence says they are now planning baby #2 according to the alignment of the stars, “Yeah we want astrology – we want the signs to match up, we need baby born in September to match the Taurus.”
Meanwhile, despite rumors that the onscreen couple are feuding behind the scenes, Terrence and Taraji joked about those click bait headlines, with Henson saying: “He pays me very well to say nice things about him,” she joked, adding: “I can’t stand him he gets on my nerves…He’s ugly look at him, ugh.”
“I love her it’s just her breath that’s what bothers me,” Terrence said, but in all seriousness he continued, “We were probably brother and sister in a last life…We’ll be connected at the hip until the day we die.”
While the duo must remain mum on what’s to come when “Empire” returns in March, Taraji promised there will be “More drama more fashion, more, more, more!”
Henson, who plays the fierce and fearless Cookie Lyon on the hit Fox series, was awarded with the Big in TV honor at VH1 Big in 2015 With Entertainment Weekly, and she opened up to the publication about her biggest professional challenge, her race.
“I was told all my career ‘Oh, black doesn’t do well overseas,’” she said. “‘Oh black can’t do this, it can’t do that.’ Well then here comes Cookie, and the world fell in love with her.”
Indeed they did.
