*Technical difficulties prevented some folks from seeing the daughter of 80s pop star Brenda K. Starr audition for “American Idol” during Wednesday’s episode.

The sound dropped out as Gianna Isabella spoke to the judges and revealed the identity of her famous mom. The beginning of Starr’s 1988 hit, “I Still Believe,” began playing, but the viewing audience could not hear Starr relaying the back story of how she used to rehearse in the same dance studio that trained Jennifer Lopez before she became a Fly Girl on “In Living Color.”

Audiences also didn’t get the chance to hear the conversation between Starr and daughter prior to her entering the audition room.

The audio came back in time for the 15-year old Jackson, NJ student to wow Lopez, Harry Connick Jr., and Keith Urban with “House of the Rising Sun” by The Animals.
