Flint Water Crisis Declared ‘Emergency’ By President Obama…$5M Allocated (Watch)

*In what has to be one of the worse cost-cutting efforts ever, the city of Flint in Michigan has left its residents in a horrible health dilemma.

By switching the source of where the city gets it water, from Lake Huron – where the water was treated by the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department – to the contaminated water that comes from the Flint River, residents are with no alternative to access clean water.

Thank goodness The White House has stepped in.

On Saturday president Barack Obama gave the green light for the city to receive $5 million dollars in federal aide to assist Flint, according to the Detroit Free Press.

The National Guard has now been deployed to deliver bottled water door-to-door to Flint residents. And the president has “ordered federal aid to supplement state and local response efforts due to the emergency conditions in the area affected by contaminated water,” according to a White House release.
