NC Powerball Winner Marie Holmes Has Criminal Summons Issued for Threatening Boyfriend’s Side Chick

NC Powerball lottery winner Marie Holmes*Marie Holmes is once again generating headlines for all the wrong reasons.

ABC11 reports that a criminal summons was issued for the 27-year-old North Carolina Powerball Lottery winner after she allegedly threatened her boyfriend’s concubine, Lorna Marlowe.

The station adds the summons specifically cited Holmes for making “threatening” and “harassing” phone calls to Marlowe.

News of the summons marks the latest development involving Holmes and her live-in boyfriend Lamar “Hot Sauce” McDow. The mother of four first came on the public radar after winning $188 million in North Carolina’s Powerball Lottery on Feb. 11, 2015.

Since then, she has garnered attention and heavy criticism for repeatedly posting bail for McDow, who was in jail on drug trafficking charges when she struck it rich.

To date, Holmes, who ended up with $87 million after taxes, has posted up to $21 million in bail for McDow.

Aware of the negative talk about his girlfriend, McDow alluded to their 1-year-old daughter Ebony when explaining why Holmes would pay so much to get him out of jail,

“We are a couple, and I am the father of her youngest child,” he told London’s Daily Mail. “This is what people do for each other. She has the money and she can do what she wants with it.”

“People are just jealous because of how much she won and people want to see me locked up in jail.” Added McDow, who has three children from previous relationships.
