steve-harvey-breaks-down-in-tears-over-miss-universe-flub*The weeks following Steve Harvey’s infamous mistake at the Miss Universe pageant have opened up a slew of tribulations as he admits to the situation taking its toll on him in the form of death threats and sleepless nights.

But according to Harvey, it’s his wife Marjorie who has provided much-needed support in the midst of all the heat he’s taken for accidentally announcing Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutiérrez, as the winner of the annual pageant instead of the actual winner, Miss Philippines, Pia Wurtzbach.

“She got up with me [during the night],” an emotional Harvey said about his wife in a Q & A session on his daytime talk show as he broke down in tears when talking about how supportive Marjorie has been. She was the best… You gotta have someone with you. Somebody to climb down in that hole with you.”

When asked how he is coping with the Miss Universe situation, Harvey stated, “I couldn’t even sleep.”

“Death threats against my family… I can’t let my kids go nowhere,” 59-year-old comedian shared.

Despite the toll it’s taken on Harvey, he shared that his primary concern is how Gutiérrez and Wurtzbach are coping with his mistake — especially Gutiérrez.

“My heart bled for her, and I haven’t been able to talk to her since,” Harvey shared.
