Woman Starts GoFundMe Page for Money Spent on Powerball Lottery

gofundme page starter-cinnamon nicole*A Tennessee woman has to find another way of getting back the money she spent on the recent $1.5 billion Powerball lottery after the GoFundMe page she started got shut down.

According to reports, Cinnamon Nicole claimed to have no money left after spending everything she had with the hope of winning the lotto. As it turned out, Nicole’s Powerball ticket was not among the three tickets that had winning numbers for the huge jackpot.

Realizing she didn’t have enough money to go home, Nicole started a GoFundMe page, asking for donations to help reimburse the money she spent on Powerball tickets.

“Please help me and my family as we have exausted all of our funds,” Nicole stated on her GoFundMe page. “We spent all of our money on lottery tickets (expecting to win the 1.5 billion) and are now in dire need of cash. With your small donation of at least $1.00, a like and one share, I’m certain that we will be able to pick ourselves up from the trenches of this lost and spend another fortune trying to hit it big again! PLEASE, won’t you help a family in need. DONATE NOW.”

Reaction to Nicole’s appeal for donations ranged from comments questioning her sanity for even asking to others feeling she should have spent her money more wisely in the first place.

Despite receiving a little over $800 within seven hours after setting up the page, Nicole’s efforts came to an early halt as her ‘campaign’ had been suspended and taken off the site Friday afternoon.
