*Shark Tank contestant, Christopher Gray, made it out of the deep end back up to shore after he pitched a game changing idea. He created the App Scholly which has the promise to change lives of college students and graduates.
Gray always knew he wanted to go to college and go after every opportunity bestowed upon him, but with both parents out of work and limited community resources, he knew that it would be a tough road.
“Access to a college education is important for everyone, but to the black community it means even more.” said Gray
For over seven months he searched high and low for scholarships, spending countless hours on the few computers at the free library and often having to write essays from his phone, due to lack of internet access at home.
Gray met fellow Drexel student Nick Pirollo and fellow Coca-Cola Scholar Bryson Alef, exchanged ideas, and soon became co-founders and built and launched Scholly in May 2013.
