*Poppin’ bottles reportedly turned into poppin’ heads at a Philadelphia nightclub in an incident involving NFL star LeSean McCoy.

He was traded from Philly to Buffalo last season, but the running back was in the City of Brotherly Love over the weekend and reportedly got into an altercation with three off-duty police officers.

McCoy, along with former NFL running back Curtis Brinkley, had “a dispute over the purchase of champagne” which touched off the altercation at Old City nightclub, according to ESPN.

Officers Darnell Jessie, Roland Butler and Sergeant Daniel Ayers reportedly bought four bottles of champagne that evening. Former Pitt football player Tamarcus Porter tried to take one of the bottles from Butler and “an argument ensued as to the ownership of the bottle,” at which point McCoy, Brinkley and Christopher Henderson “assisted [Porter].”

It’s unknown whether either McCoy or Brinkley was injured. One of the officers suffered a possible skull fracture and another was treated for a broken nose, broken rib, an eye laceration and a sprained thumb, per the reports.

“We are aware of the reports regarding LeSean McCoy and in the process of gathering more information,” a statement from the Bills read. “We will not provide any further comment at this time.”

McCoy played six seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles before getting traded to the Bills last offseason.
