How ’bout ‘dem Broncos?!

Yep, the Denver Broncos defense proved to be waaaay too much for the Carolina Panthers and quarterback Cam Newton as they went on to win decisively 24-10 in Super Bowl 50 at Levi’s Stadium..

The Broncos were relentless in getting to Newton who was sacked six times. And to make matters even worse, Newton, the 2015 NFL MVP, only completed 18 of 41 passes for 265 yards. He also had an interception and two fumbles.

In short, Newton got his arse handed to him time and time again by the Broncos defense and Von Miller in particular. Miller, by the way, who was voted the game’s most valuable player, forced two fumbles, one that defensive end Malik Jackson recovered in the end zone for a touchdown, C.J. Anderson rushed for a touchdown and Brandon McManus kicked three field goals as the Broncos won the Super Bowl for the first time since winning consecutive titles in the 1997 and 1998 seasons.

Meanwhile, Peyton Manning triumphantly completed what could be his final season with a Super Bowl title. With the win Sunday night, he becomes the first NFL QB to win 200 games (regular season and playoffs). And yes, the future Hall of Famet can thank the Denver Broncos defense for making it possible.
