*All praised the Coen brothers at the world premiere of “Hail Caesar!” which was held in LA’s Westwood section on Monday Feb. 1.

The star studded red carpet included appearances by George Clooney, Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill and Wayne Knight as they arrived in 1950’s vehicles. Wayne Knight who made a short appearance in the movie explained that his interest in the film was simply the filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen.

“I think anytime the Coen brothers ask you if you want to be in a film, I think you go yes, like what time, I’ll be there. I just have to finish having my leg amputated and I’ll be right over,” he said jokingly.

Alden Ehrenreich who plays Hobie Doyle in the film also shared the same respect for the directors.

“It’s really the environment that the Coen’s create that’s so special and relaxed,” he said.

In the film, George’s Clooney’s character Baird Whitlock is taken for a $100,000 ransom. Though the film is set in the 1950’s, $100,000 is very low for a George Clooney.

“Come on you could’ve given me a little more cash,” Clooney said jokingly. “What a rotten deal.”

Clooney’s co-stars were asked who they would call to rescue them if they were taken for ransom. Ehrenreich said “the police” while Knight said “A very wealthy blind man.”

Fred Melamed who is one of the mastermind’s behind Clooney’s kidnapping in the film said he would most likely call on his wife.

“She heroically saves me frequently,” he said.

Veronica Osorio who played Carlotta Valdez in the movie said she would hands down choose fellow movie star Scarlett Johansson. Not a bad choice considering her kickass role in “Lucy.”

“Hail, Caesar!” Will be in theatres everywhere on February 5. For more information on the film, click here.
