*A topic this morning on “Fox & Friends” was whether or not Republicans can ever woo the black vote. The guest booked for this segment was Crystal Wright, the African American founder and editor of “The Conservative Black Chick Blog.”
First, she informed hosts Steve Doocy and Anna Kooiman that Donald Trump is the only GOP presidential candidate who has been talking directly to black voters. She backed up her stance by noting that his spokesperson, Katrina Pierson, is a woman of color.
She went on to express pity regarding the black vote, saying it’s “sad” that people of color have shown a “slavish support” for Democratic candidates.
“Part of me wonders if the Republican Party should even bother asking for the black vote,” she said. “Black Americans seem to like being political dummies.”
Later in the three-minute interview, Wright claimed that blacks want to vote for Hillary Clinton because “she was married to the first black president.”
