*Looks like Idris Elba is moving past his personal love drama with some professional affection in the form of a big screen romance.
Media sources report that Elba is in talks to play the lead in a romantic drama based on Charlie Martin’s best-selling novel, “The Mountain Between Us.” The film centers on two people who fall in love after a plane crashes and leaves them in the wilderness. At this time, a female lead has not been determined for the movie.
News of Elba’s involvement in “The Mountain Between Us” adaptation comes days after the word got out about his recent split from his longtime girlfriend. With four films (“Star Trek Beyond,” “A Hundred Streets,” “Finding Dory,” “The Jungle Book”) currently in post-production, it’s safe to say that the two-time SAG Awards winner will be too busy with his day job to dwell on his breakup.
Like Elba, Samuel L. Jackson is keeping his work life alive and kicking.
According to reports, the “Hateful Eight” star may have secured a part in the upcoming film adaption of Stephen King’s 2014 novel “Revival.”
As it stands now, there’s no word on when production will be begin.
Nevertheless, Jackson is up for the starring role in the feature, which tells the story of Charles Jacobs, a preacher who starts experimenting with the supernatural and electricity after his wife and son are killed in a tragic accident.
