Is This the REAL Reason Cam Walked Out of Press Conference? (WATCH)

*Ultimately there’s no good excuse for Cam Newton to walk out of the Super Bowl press conference after the game.

However we think we know what really pressed his buttons on Sunday.

Newton’s pity party was in full effect all on its own due to his dour/sour attitude after the QB and the Carolina Panthers had gotten beat down by the Denver Broncos defense and lost 24-10. But the last thing dude needed to hear was a Broncos player gloat about it within earshot.

Newton forced out one non-answer after another, reluctantly expounded just a bit while still saying nothing of importance, then reached his limit when he overheard Denver cornerback Chris Harris describing to his own contingent of media just feet away how the Broncos got to the NFL’s newly crowned MVP.

Of course this doesn’t excuse Newton’s behavior at the presser, but it does bring clarity to his breaking point moment — the moment he stood up and walked away after having heard enough.

Yep, losing a Super Bowl hurts … real, real bad. And it’s even worse when it happens after you’ve been led to believe you’re the sh*t. But dude’s gonna have to suck it up and grow some bigger gonads and learn from the basic law of life: You win some and you lose some.

OK, now that we got that out of the way, let’s get back to what most likely took poor Cam over the edge and caused him to walk away from the press conference. Check out this video of Newton listening to Harris’ words before walking off:

When told Cam could hear his words loud and clear, Harris told Josina Anderson he was upset the NFL put them in that situation:
