It will be the last of President Barack Obama‘s month long, marking of the celebration in the White House before he leaves office in January 2017.
He is guaranteed his place in history and subsequent Black History month celebrations cannot be without the mention of his achievements not only as America’s first Black president but a two term president. His mention is inevitable.
OUR ROOTS was created during my art school years at the Kubert School in Dover, New Jersey, little did I know that Obama would come along and make history but that is what OUR ROOTSÂ sketches, highlights, inform and educates about Black achievers, heroes and heroines, sung and unsung, all makers of ancient and modern history. –Â TAYO Fatunla
